I'm pretty much going to throw in the towel for us on this one! A few weeks ago Mathis had us 3rd on his list behind Oregon and Michigan State. However ESPN just posted an update, stating Michigan has fallen down to 5th on his list...behind Tennessee?
Mathis is arguably the best corner in the state of Michigan, and given our need at the position this year, this is dissapointing news to say the least. He is rated a four star prospect by rivals.com, and is likely to gain a 4th star from scout.com after they named him in their "Midwest Elite 8" from the recent ESPN Gridiron 7-on-7 tornament.
Worst case scenario from here...he goes to Michigan State
