Coach Rod defends his recruiting checks

Coach Rod has got some stick over the last few days regarding the checks he makes on prospects before they commit to the school.

This comes after Justin Feagin admitted setting up a cocaine deal whilst on campus in Michigan. Rodriguez had several of his former West Virginia players got into legal trouble, including Adam "Pacman" Jones.

"You know, there are some guys you recruited and they never would have given any hint of ever getting into trouble or being poor academically," Rodriguez said. "And all of a sudden they go to college and they make mistakes and you have to adjust accordingly."
