UM in the top two

Michigan finds themselves as the co-leader for 3 Star RB Malcolm Crockett (Washington, DC), along with the NC State Wolfpack. He grew up a fan of the Wolverines and feels they are a team on the rise!

He has offers from West Virginia and Georgia Tech to go along with ones from UM and the Wolfpack. He's also getting a lot of interest from Notre Dame and the nearby Maryland Terps'. He plans to make his decision after his senior season, so he has plenty of time to plan an official up to Ann Arbor.

The running back position could be really interesting as recruiting progresses, as Michigan only plans to take two RB's due to the small size of the 2011 class. Michigan is in a pretty good position for three/four RB's at present (Jarrell Oliver, Dee Hart, Justice Hayes and Crockett). Hart plans an early commitment, so if he goes Blue, it leaves the coaches in a difficult spot with the remaining three.

  1. I think Crockett is one of those prospects they offer to but then tell the player to wait before signing. If Michigan doesn't get 2 signed recruits from Oliver, Hart, and Hayes I'll be disappointed.

Hayes seems like he's headed to Michigan unless Michigan losses to a mediocre UConn, a bad ND, a 1-AA school or a middle of the road MAC school.

I think the fact that Hart is still considering Michigan despite everything with his mom means he wants to go to Michigan, he just needs to convince Mom. Oliver being from Sugar Land is probably a toss-up between Michigan and Nebraska but I think he'd jump if Texas offered.

  2. I do believe Hart will choose UM, the visit has gone great so far, and his Mom is meeting with Coach Rod today, and if that goes well he could commit very soon. And your right about Hayes, if Michigan starts well again, he should commit. I think UM has too many RB's on the roster to take three in this class, so Oliver and Crockett might need to commit soon if they want a place.
