Decker to ND

Just a quick note, offensive lineman Taylor Decker (Vandalia, Ohio) has committed to Notre Dame over offers from Boston College, Michigan, West Virginia, Wisconsin and others.

Decker had a pretty good visit to Michigan earlier this year, where he received an offer, so the Wolverines had a shot at least.

  2. I'm a Michigan fan all the way, but I don't know the point of saying ND and BK suck. They are becoming scary again IMO.

  4. I was a student at Grand Valley when Kelly was our football coach, he was incredible. I stood on the sidelines next to him a few games and hung out with him a few times. As a die hard michigan fan I was pretty pissed when they completely blew him off a few years back. Now we are paying for it. Brian Kelly is legit and will bring ND back to prominince. I am the most saddened michigan fan ever lately. I hate how carr left the program in shambles, I hated the way we handled the first coaching search, hated the way we fired RR after not enough time, and hated this latest coaching search. downward spiral continues with recruiting. Michigan football is in a dark age just like basketball has been and until certain people (alumni) go away I don't see any positives.

  5. Yes the RR fiasco was devastating. But I think Michigan already started to turn corners. David Brandon took a $1.5 mil paycut to become our AD--he is trying his best to fix this situation. I would've liked to have BK as our coach. But I also like Hoke; I am excited to see what he can do in 2011.

  6. Yeah, no doubt Notre Dame is going to be competing for National titles under BK in the next 1-2 years. But the pieces are in place for Brady Hoke to get off to a fast start to his Michigan tenure too.

  7. No question. ND will be scary again, but so will we. We'll have great teams again with sound defense. UM, ND, and OSU will all be solid and the rivalries will heat up once again. We'll once again have the Big Ten+ with all-around competitive teams.

  8. I like the cautious optimism coming out of UM fans these days. If nothing else, Brady Hoke is someone we can all stand behind.

  9. Jordan... yeah, getting the highest ranked player in the state of MI represents a downward spiral.
